Privacy Policy

Account information. When you register, we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, and password. If you provide them, we also store your company name and GSTIN. Your phone number may also be used to reach you on WhatsApp — see “WhatsApp Communications” below.

Vendor registration. If you register as a rental vendor/partner, we collect your organisation name, country, admin contact name and email, mobile number, GSTIN, business address, city, state, and pincode.

Quotes, events, cart, and wishlist. We collect the details you submit when requesting a quote, planning an event (event name, dates, venue, address, pincode), adding items to your cart, or saving items to your wishlist.

Automatically collected information. Like most websites, we automatically receive certain technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, and pages viewed, through cookies and similar technologies.

Communications. If you contact us for support or with a quote/order request, we keep a record of that correspondence to respond and to maintain service quality.

• To create and manage your account, and to keep it secure.
• To process and respond to quote and rental enquiries, including forwarding relevant enquiry details to our vendor/rental partners so they can confirm availability, pricing, and fulfilment.
• To operate your cart, wishlist, and event-planning tools.
• To review and process vendor registration applications.
• To communicate with you about your account, quotes, or orders, and to respond to support requests — by email or, where you have provided a phone number, via WhatsApp or SMS.
• To send service updates and, where you have not opted out, occasional marketing communications by email; and, where you have separately opted in, marketing messages via WhatsApp — see “WhatsApp Communications” below.
• To monitor, secure, and improve the Service (including via analytics).
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these cases:

• Rental/vendor partners — to fulfil a quote or rental request, the relevant product, event, and contact details are shared with the vendor(s) supplying that item so they can accept, reject, or partially fulfil the request.
• Service providers — cloud storage/CDN providers for hosting product and profile images, email delivery providers for transactional and account emails, analytics providers (see Cookies below), and Meta Platforms, Inc. as the operator of the WhatsApp Business Platform (see “WhatsApp Communications” below), all bound to protect your data and use it only to provide services to us.
• Legal and safety — where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TEP, our users, or others.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply to your information.

We use the WhatsApp Business Platform, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (“Meta”), to communicate with you using the phone number you provide. This includes:

• Transactional messages — such as quote confirmations, order/enquiry status updates, and account notifications;
• Customer support — you can message us directly on WhatsApp and receive replies from our team; and
• Marketing messages — such as new-catalogue announcements or offers, sent only to users who have separately opted in to receive them.

When you message us or receive a message from us on WhatsApp, your phone number and the content of that conversation are processed by Meta as part of operating the WhatsApp Business Platform, in accordance with Meta's WhatsApp Business Data Processing Terms, in addition to being stored by us to respond to you and keep a record of the conversation.

You can opt out of marketing messages on WhatsApp at any time by replying “STOP” or emailing connect@theeventprops.com; we will honour that request. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional messages tied to an active quote, order, or support request.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your cart. On our production site we also use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use the Service, using cookies and similar identifiers. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some site functionality.

We also maintain public pages on social platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. Visiting or interacting with those pages is governed by that platform's own privacy policy, not this one.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, fulfil the purposes described in this policy, comply with our legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), hashed password storage, and access controls limiting who can view your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Subject to applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may ask us to:

• Confirm what personal information we hold about you and access a copy;
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• Delete your account and associated personal information;
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications (email or WhatsApp) at any time; and
• Raise a grievance about how we handle your information.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at connect@theeventprops.com from your registered email address. We aim to respond within 30 days.

The Service is intended for businesses and individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our Service may link to third-party websites or social media pages, including those of our vendor partners. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

We are based in India, and your information is primarily processed there. Some of our service providers (such as cloud storage/CDN and analytics providers) may process or store data in other countries. In all cases we require providers to protect your information consistently with this policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you (such as an on-site notice or email). Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
